Я знаю, что хвастаться не красиво, но я всё равно буду, потому что есть чем. Начну с детских работ. Моя звезда Карина Ахмадуллина участвовала в двух конкурсах: экологическом, который проводила UNESCO и одна экологическая организация из Японии; второй конкурс устраивало издательство Macmillan Press. Вот работы Карины:

Ecology

Nature is our mother. It is a storehouse of health. People can not live without water, clean air, and healthy food, without the minerals that the Earth gives us. All these things are is necessary to study and protect the world. Scientists develop new technologies for production and manufacture of various materials, for example: environmentally friendly types of bags, cotton or nylon bags for trips. People try to protect the natural environment.

And what about me? What can I do for the nature? It’s probably not too much. I won’t leave litter on the street. I will water the plants. I and my parents will make a bird feeder. My friends and I can clean up the yard, collect the garbage, and feed the animals, plant trees. When my family goes to the forest, we do not kindle a fire and do not disturb animals. We need to protect the nature!

Sport

There is a volleyball section at my school. I go there twice a week. I like it very much. I choose sport activities because sport useful than computer games. I prefer playing sport because it’s funny and good for my health. I play in a team, so I like team sports.

I think our country is very sporty. There are many popular sports, for example, hockey. I am a hockey fan. My favourite hockey player is Vyacheslav Fetisov, because he is Honoured Master of Sports, besides, he praised Russia. He has won many awards and he is an honorary coach. We are proud of him.

I like watching many sports. Last time I watched football match. It was unforgettable.

I know every sport is important. But I would like to say some words about extreme sports. In my opinion, the most dangerous sport is fighting without rules, because people can hurt very much. There are the safest sports. It’s chess and checkers. These sports are very intelligent and they help developing our mind.

I think I am sporty. Sometimes I ask myself: “Why do people play sports?” As for me, I want to be strong and healthy. I am sure sport makes us better and more interesting.

I would like to tell you about interesting sport to play and to watch. My favourite sport to play is football, because it funny. Although I think this sport is not for girls. My favourite sport to watch is figure skating, because it’s beautiful. I often skate in winter. But I am not a figure skater and I would try it. I think there is no boring sport. But I wouldn’t try sumo, I think it’s strange sport. We have three PE lessons a week at school. Playing sports is compulsory in our schools. PE is one of my favourite lessons. I prefer playing team sport, because we play together. I think I could be a couch in the future, but now I just enjoy playing sport.

I live to skate and I really want to study skating. We live in Russia, and our winters are very cold and frosty. There are many winter ice rinks in my city, so I can improve my skating all winter long. Our country is famous for great figure skaters. Such as: Irina Rodnina, Eugene Plushenko, Alexey Yagudin. I dream to do figure skating and to win a gold medal.

Я также не отстаю от детей и участвую в творческих конкурсах от издательства "Просвещение". В конце прошлого учебного года они проводили конкурс "Символы", где нужно было нарисовать 5 символов, которые объединяют Британию и Россию. Моя работа:

1. Traditions connect our countries: Englishmen have tradition of high tea and afternoon tea; Russian tea traditions are ancient and rich as well.

2. We have similarities in traditional clothes customs: Scottish kilts are made of wool tartans and Russian woman dress sarafan is made of linen plaid fabric.

3. Our languages had borrowed words from each other. For example Vauxhall and вокзал are the same word. Vauxhall is an inner city area of Central London in the London Borough of Lambeth. But the word ‘Vauxhall’ came from Russian word ‘вокзал’.

4. Our state symbols have similarities. Union Jack and Tricolour are red, white and dark blue, and besides there is St. Andrew’s Cross not only in Union Jack, but in The Russian Navy Ensign.

5. Our political leaders Margaret Thatcher and Mikhail Gorbachev had started the new chapter in British-Russian relations. They helped our countries to become closer.
